Paragliding
Gréolières sits below the Cheiron mountain and boasts sun shine for 300 days of the year, flying is possible year-round for pilots of all abilities.
Discover the freedom of flight on a tandem paraglide with a qualified pilot.
There are 3 south-facing take-offs on the Cheiron and they are named after their top-to-bottom heights in metres from the landing field: 300, 600, 700, and it is possible to fly from the summit at 1,778m.
There is a very reasonable shuttle service from the landing field with the local paragliding school. They can take you to the 300 take off, and also to the 600 and 700 take offs via the ski piste in summer. Or, hike and fly is a great option with unbeatable views and the chance to see the wildlife – deer, chamois, grouse and much more.
With the smooth sea breeze hitting the south facing slope and the shelter from the Cheiron itself, this site is flyable even with northerly winds. Thermals make it possible to go cross country from here, and there are other nearby sites with easier options for cross country flying.
With Gourdon, Col de Bleyne, Monaco and St Andre in the vicinity, Greolieres is a great base for your paragliding trip. And La Maison du Loup is your home from home to relax at the end of the day.
Lots of activites are available for non-flyers, please see the activites page.
